It was supposed to be the perfect send off for the women before the most important road trip in the clubs short history, but as always Taunton Tigers had not read the script, and over a scrappy forty minutes they pulled victory from the eye of the Storm.
This Saturday at home is the start of an exciting sequence of games for Bristol Storm's women.....
With Pritchard away for England trials, Torbay Tigers would prove to be a good test for Bear's Boys....
Bristol Storm Basketball Club have been leading the way in central Bristol since 2006.
The club are built on a philosophy of development and opportunity, through this the club has expanded exponentially, with players excelling and achieving their aspirations of national league, regional squads, playing abroad, national team trials and for those that want to - just playing for fun.
As a club we offer basketball to everyone of all abilities and ages, beginners and experienced, junior and senior, and this is for both men and women.
Our success has been because of our continual community and development work with Bristol Council Sports Development (New Deal), the Central Bristol Partnership (PDM), Sports School Co-ordinators, primary schools and City Academy, St Mary Redcliffe & Temple, Bristol Brunel Academy, and Metropolitan Academy. Eminating from all this work are the successful partnership with Midnight Madness, the BBL and Hoops4Health, our very own Kings of the Court, the Bristol Storm Girls Basketball Academy, the Bristol Storm U16 Boys Academy and much much more.
