Governance

Bristol Storm are a Basketball England Level 1 – Accredited Club, this means that as a club we have the organisational structure and arrangements to deliver basketball in a safe and compliant manner for all our members from young and old, continuing our proud 20 year history.

When we started in the community with projects like Community at Heart linked in with the opening of City Academy Bristol in 2003, it became clear very quickly we would not just be a community and casual club for very long. Our growth was exponential and with the great work of the teams and support network we soon achieved the Sport England Clubmark Level 4 accreditation, and the Basketball England 4-star club status. (Both these accreditation schemes are now no longer available)

Throughout our journey from community club and projects, to junior and senior national league we have believed in these accreditations as they demonstrate our dedication and commitment to providing a positive and supportive environment for all our members and the wider community, and showcases our long-term commitment to best practices and continuous improvement.

Now as a Basketball England Level 1 Accredited club we meet a new set of requirements, and as we continue to work on the website and bring things up to date you will start to see more of who and what we are.
